DC + Hanzo + VGA to HDMI = problem

-plug in everything properly
-large AC plug spark (converter)
-try to use converter
-tv goes bonkers, resets itself, lights in house flicker a few times, internet shuts down for a lil bit
-try again
-picture is 2 blurry overlapping images, hdmi output is blue when not in use, image stays frozen on screen for a few seconds when DC shuts off

I tried another VGA cable with no improvements and I'm trying to hunt down another AC but I doubt I have one. I contacted the king of resolution from Germany and he basically just replied with "not normal, bad psu or broken converter maybe". The converter has high reviews and I already asked the best source but who knows, maybe someone has info to post. I'm looking into the warrenty now, which I'm hoping it has.

 

Have you tried the converter with another VGA source?

 

I'm a little too scared to try it with my $1150 computer. If I can find something, I will. But it's not worth it. That thing is crazy.
