It is party time! In a matter of weeks, I will have a PAL copy of Shenmue II for Dreamcast! :smt033

I wonder though, can you use your Shenmue I savegame with S2? If so, I have the US version of Shenmue... would it work?

Ah, reminds me of the good 'ol days, back when the Xbox didn't have Shenmue II. Anyways, it does work for a PAL gamesave, but doesn't work for a US gamesave.

However, there is a FAQ on gamefaqs that does help you convert US saves into PAL files: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/dreamcast/game/24517.html

The PAL DC Shenmue 2 - possibly the only game that actually benefitted from Sega being really poor...

Yo, thanks for your info guys! I was thinking of trying some savegame hacking myself, but this is way easier :D

On a slightly related note, anyone know anything of running the US version of FF7 with a PAL savegame? The PAL version is so fscked up with the borders, and now I have the US version... but I dont feel like starting over :angry

The game truly is one of the greatest adventures ever and makes the frst game pale in comparison(and the first game was immense), prepare to be truly bowled over by it anti, it is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish and actually had me moved on more than a few occasions.

Pure genuis from Suzuki san and I'm glad to see the series rising from the dead in the form of Shenmue online, even if it is not the third game we fans so desperately want...it is a start.
