Orengefox released another great one. Sonic Adventure 1998 beta.

    http://gerbilsoft.soniccenter.org/S...1998-10-16)_610-7029_(J)_(BIN)_(Orengefox).7z

    http://gerbilsoft.soniccenter.org/S...1998-10-16)_610-7029_(J)_(ISO)_(Orengefox).7z

Great find! Going through the files and found some interesting things so far. Ghost textures in Red Mountain texture set. OBJ_MOUNTAIN.pvm.

    Edit: MINICART.bin?

Edit: Have done textures for other SA/SA2/more as well.

Edit 2: LAND1800.BIN. another level file. Egg Carrier bit from the texture names inside. The biggest giveaway is eca_s_drill.

    Edit 3:
Ah, right. For whatever reason, I first read it as minecart.

Edit 3: Perfect Chaos level set, LM_CHAOS7.pvm, is quite different and smaller then final version.

Tails has some blank textures. MILES.pvm

Some of the animal textures seem different. DROP.pvm does not exist in the final.

Bunch of different/new textures in OBJ_HIGHWAY.pvm.

RIPPLE.pvm does not exist in final either.

Lots of interesting things in voices.

    Edit: 3: Also have more.

    Edit 4: Added e100.7z, red_mountain.7z, tex&misc.7z

Edit 5: Some SA2 stuff while I'm at it: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=0C121C1882C14A3C&id=C121C1882C14A3C!4277#cid=0C121C1882C14A3C&id=C121C1882C14A3C!4283

Edit 4: Made an .afl patch with the adx file names if anyone is interested.

Orengefox! Fantastic, it's not a misspelling either! (I remember his intro thread!)
Looking forward to having a poke around this evening! :topsy_turvy:
    Thanks Orengefox! :tranquillity:

MINICART.bin could be referencing the bumper carts in Twinkle Park, maybe.

I've been eying that topic in anticipation of anything new they find. Shame Wind Valley is missing all its textures. I hope at the least someone figures out how to break the "autoplay" stuff so we can just control it on our own and explore. There's several levels no one's shown yet from what I understand.

Odd, some textures have more padding then needed.

I know I'm late to the party here (except for yesterday, I hadn't logged-on in months), but I brought a video along. Crazy reading about the original Windy Valley design too.

I love the song lyrics in English on a Japanese game, lol. Maybe someone that has spent more time playing could tell me differently, but I don't see any difference from the final game.

There isn't huge amounts of differences shown (this rolling demo wasn't that far from release), however there is some beta versions of levels, some test levels and an early chao garden included in the data. Most of it's unplayable though, just raw untextured data. There is some differences in object placement etc, and some guys at sonic retro got the autodemo playable. It's not radically different but it is interesting.
