So got a DDH tower recently and it displays an E on the LED reader. Now I know I need to restore it with the SDK, but what's the name of the cable and card that I need as well to connect it to my PC? I know I heard someone say I need a Marlin card once.. Also mine is missing ram, what kind of ram does it take (I thought DRAM, but some I have doesn't fit). If anyone has any parts I need that I can borrow, I'd be willing to pay someone to restore this for me. Thanks! Sorry if I seem like such a noob, Gamecube Development is new for me. I've only delt with a little bit of Xbox and 360 development.
The card you need is indeed a Marlin card, which are really rare (harder to get than ODEM cards). The cable's a standard 64 pin SCSI cable. Not sure about the RAM as I don't have a DDH myself.
