Just learnt today from one of my brothers about this game...first person open world zombie survival rpg, looks interesting but it's not a release day buy for me unless the 4 player co-op is split screen. Anyone else gonna get it/ is interested in getting it? Discuss. www.deadislandgame.com
I was interested until I saw the gameplay, and it's just a left 4 dead clone down to the molotovs and spitters
I haven't played l4d or l4d2 they both seem too dark visually....I like the idea of sun,sea and 4 player split screen co-op
I may pick it up. Looks interesting from the promo video and since I don't have left for dead (always thought that moved strangly) it may be a good buy. Yakumo
I picked up FLD2 because my friend kept going on and on about how awesome it was all telling stories and all that. I must be a different kind of gamer, because I just didn't get the appeal. FPS are all extremely similar to one another for me.
Left 4 Dead 2 is basically the only game I play on steam. Anybody wants to add me my steamname is Cyantist. Back when I saw the first trailer (the original one) I was interested. it seems its since just become a Left 4 Dead/ Dead rising clone (Two games I loved). I might download it first and then if I like it buy it.
Nope. Personally Im a bit tired of the whole zombie genre. It's overdone and time to move on already.
I was considering it...until I saw that it has 4 player co-op. To me, that means the single player is butchered, too short or just non-existent. I like killing zombies alone.
No, I never did buy it. I did play the demo but found the view and speed at which you moved to be way too fast for a Zombie game. Maybe I should take another look at it. Yakumo
Debating between this and Deus Ex. Deus Ex is getting good buzz, so Ill hold off until review for both are in. I think Dead Island with the open world rpg deal is different enough from other zombie games to warrant a look.
Yes and no. The churning out of zombie game after zombie game is getting old but the occasional twist on the topic keeps it interested enough to keep me coming back
