Hello. Got some people coming over tonight. Went to turn on my Xbox to make sure it was working for halo 2 tonight. I noticed the power cord was off. So I pushed in the reset button on the power cord and it flashes twice with what looks like a yellow or green light and the reset button pops out again. I've tried multiple outlets with the same result. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it? Or is the power cord dead and I'll just have to get another one? Thanks for any insight.

Are you talking about a gfci outlet popping?

I'm talking about the reset button on the cord itself.

Sounds like the cord blocked a power surge and is no longer working properly. You don't need a identical replacement, just grab a cord that has the same connector on the end of it and it works just fine.

microsoft gave people arc fault interpereters for people with ver 1.0 xbox consoles and i guess you have one of those ?.

if so the power cord plug under the power supply because of the repeated removal of the power plug it has cracked the solder and it is arcing.

sounds like you need to resolder the connections under the power supply for the mains plug.
