Dead Rising 1 Beta release Whatever happened to it???

What's the legality of releasing such betas though? I know we can all keep hounding Assembler to release the files, and trust me I'd be ecstatic if he did, but I'd rather not risk any legal threats from Capcom towards him.

 

I never knew Dead Rising had such a style change over the course of its development. Weren't the first builds basically just tech demos?

It does have a Tech Demo feeling indeed, but since the time from the announcement to the release was one year and three months, they were probably already implementing the story in the game.

Max Payne in the earliest trailers did have a Tech Demo feel that left some people worried about it, even if the plot was revealed at the time, but the game itself would only came out in 2001, after 3 years.
