overal system power results from the total capabilities of the components. i.e the power to display a game with X characters compared to the power of displaying the said game with 2*X characters on screen. Memory, hence, is also an attribute to be considered.
Awesome, the game with the Lego head franchise in it, where somebody said it was from Megaman. And I told him, that the Lego head was a copyrighted head long before Megaman was made.
Dead Rising, Low Fat Edition. I don't think Dead Rising is that difficult to port to Wii as you'll just see them scale back alot of things, or use tricks to hide it. Obviously the text will "be fixed" because the game will be running in 480i/480p where as the 360 ran in 720p and was scaled down to people's shitty 480i. We'll know more when we actually see it in action just how much the hordes of zombies are reduced. But personally I'm not interested in playing such an old game ported to a system I've lost interest in. It was a good game on 360, and it'll be interesting from the technical stand point of what is cut down but not much more.
Saw this news earlier, can't wait to see how they port it to Wii. The use of the Wiimote might add tons of fun if they pull it right. Slice n' dice with the katana or battle axe can be very, very fun then.
yet again capcom is the only third party using at least a part of wii's potential and not crappy games like SHITEA , CRAPPYVISION or SUCKUSOFT
Seems an odd choice. I'd have expected a PS3 version over a Wii version. The number of zombies on screen is the major selling point and I can't see the Wii coping well. Perhaps it will not be a straight port but a reworking.
Well, when you see how much shit is on screen in games such as Onechanbara Revolution it does make a port of Dead rising quite plausable. After all this is Capcom making the game where Onechanbara Revolution is be Tamasoft. Yakumo
If you look carefully at the Xbox 360 version, sure it has tons of zombies on the screen. But watch them closely...a good majority of the distant zombies are rendered into view and just stand around doing nothing until you get really close to them. I think the actual number of onscreen zombies that actually attack or animate meaningfully are around 20 or so. The rest are really just background candy that go into in attack AI routine once you get within 15 feet of them. The cultist warriors are a good example of this.
The MotionPlus accessory would be interesting in combination with a Katana and the proper engine to support accurate damage
I think that the main problem, as many of you have said before, is that the Wii doesn't have enough power to put on screen hundreds of zombies like the X360, and this was the main part of the gameplay of the X360s version.
I am thinking those graphics are butt fugly, and if you ask me. Then there shouldn´t be any problems that the WII could not make the port a reasonable good port. After all, I have seen better graphics on the PC for quite a few years. Heck Manhunt was ugly as hell. So lighten up, it is possible .
