Hi All, My debugger is running Debug firmware 3.00 but 4.01 has been leaked and I have downloaded it. Is it worth installing and wht benefits over 3.00 does it offer? I've tried googling for the "release notes" but I can't seem to find anything useful. Cheers Dickibow
The short version is that it offers the same features as the retail 4.00 update plus some odd fix I assume. The most important changes that matters is that you can run newer retail software, and it supports vita. I only have the release notes changes up to SDK 4.00 so I don't know what was "fixed" in the 4.01 release. The only caveat that I can think of with upgrading is that you will loose other os support. Anything after 3.20 gets rid of this feature. As long as you have the appropriate downgrade updates you can go back to 3.00 (or any version that your debug supports) so this isn't as big of a deal as it would be for retails. Other then that it's probably a good thing to install the update.
