Hey guys, I've got a 360 debug which I've had for about 6 months now, it's also a legit one which I received from Microsoft. Now the problem I'm having is I can't access Xbox Live no more, from about early January onwards. Before this it was fine. When attempting to login I would receive the MTU error stating it was under the 1300 yet my router is set at 1500 and my 2 retail 360's can connect perfectly. I'm running on the following: Flash: 8464.0 XDK: 9328.0 I also can't connect to XEPartnerNet, I should also state that I changed routers around the same time period and moved from ADSL to ADSL2+. Could this be the thing which is affecting it or is my system in need of an update? Cheers
I've connected the old router in and it's the same, I was hoping it would connect. Do you know if it is possible to obtain the latest XDK 9328.9 online through a PC? I also got this message from a tech person at Xbox. "It’s possible that you could be having problems due to the type of xdk update, every now and then you need to connect a laptop and update debugs via the network updater rather than by disc to get full partnernet access." Does anyone know how to do this?
If you have an official XDK from Microsoft you should: 1) Be talking to Microsoft for tech support 2) Be talking to Microsoft for XDK updates 3) Not be talking about it here Chances are you probably had to agree to some sort of NDA and flaunting that it a public forum is ill advised. Do you really think that people from Microsoft don't read the boards? -hl718
I don't know how, the PR at Microsoft haven't been very helpful since they are always busy, I spoke with them last week and they said a new unit would be sent out but that's about 1-2 months away from the next batch. They just sent me the debug with the 2x controllers, accessories and that's it, I had to wait a month after that to get through the XDK 9328.5 disc and I can't even use it since it's got a hairline crack. I didn't get no guide with it on how to use the system, just 2 or 3 papers listing the accessories in English and Japanese. I only found out today about 9328.9 from another company due to code being sent out and that it's required to play.
I'd like to believe you, but you just don't make sense. I have tons of pre-release crap, and nothing, no matter how recent, requires 9328.9 yet. MS doesn't send out recoveries on discs to reviewers/etc. Only companies get that, and only at XDS Manager request. I have a boxed unit, and the paper is only one page, and it's only in english. It has two other papers, but those are just manuals from retail boxes. Also, you are not allowed to to talk about this stuff on a public fourms if you got your kit via MS.
The only potential harm would be to you if you break NDA and Microsoft finds out about it. If you (or your employer) has not signed an NDA, then no worries. -hl718
All I really wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problem with the MTU error on the Dashboard.
Try plugging it directly into your modem and then resiting the modem, this just seems like networking problems rather than the kit itself.
