I have my debuggame installed on the harddrive. But I wondered if Xbox watson needs the game on a disc in order to debug it as I got the following warning in the dump file: WRN[XAM]: Failed setting DVD spindle speed to 4 (C0000013) The question is: Does it need to be burned on a disc?
Ive never gotton that error befre but that sounds like an Error you would probably get When it tries to enable DVD emulation as it tries to set a read speed when emulating. no idea tho what that is. EDIT: on a sidenote, this is how ive always done it. Ive been at the launcher and started up xbwatson. once it told me it was connected to my console I ran teh game. it then started displaying debug info. Pretty simple.
Dark, did you play the game from the harddrive or DVD? And if you played it from the harddrive in which directory did you put it at? My game is located at the harddrive emulation/devkit/ folder. The game title has its own directory there with within it the game data.
I ran from the hdd. When I ran the game it ran from the Devkit partition on the hdd inside its own folder. like lets say heres the root hdd of ur dev showing all ur partitions itd go here Devkit partition>Game folder name>File.xex Get it?
Just because you have a debug-signed game, the game does not have to have any debug code in it. This is common in betas that are very far along in the development cycle, but most common in review titles. Also, for the DVD Spindle Speed, it always gives me that error. It's just a warning (as it says [WRN]), so it isn't anything major.
