What does anyone know about them just got my self one, Its a Jap model and in a nice shape. Oh and a lovely shade of green! How many other play station are there like this, would love to have one of each the only othe one i know is the Yarzose one which is black. :drinkers:
There are green and blue models of the debug hardware. Theres about 12 of them in a cupboard where i used to work. The lasers are very dodgy so if your thinking of using it i would replace the laser unit.
Ive hear of that also some can set fire :angry As far i can tell the blue were Pal and green Nstc? (sp)
As far as I know the green ones were used to test the error checking of games, ie they randomly caused errors when trying to read from CD or memory card. What the blue ones were used for I'm not sure (but they do have the extra 6 megs of RAM if I'm not mistaken). I'm not sure if theres a difference between PAL and NTSC units because: - they use an AC adapter, instead of direct AC input - they are region-free
I think so, if the games passed their tests fine ;-) (they should occassionally give error messages on saving but should work fine after a retry)
