I was wondering... one of these systems would be able to boot a uLaunchELF disc if patched as "master", right?

And secondly... where would be the best place to acquire a debugging station console? Specifically a DTL-H10000 or DTL-H10000S model. I want one but can't find one, even they are supposedly the most common models. eBay does not have anything, and most classifieds are years old, meaning that the consoles would be long gone by now lol...

I use Swap Magic to boot uLaunchELF from my first memory card.

    I have a DTL-H30001 E.

Would it not work if you just patched the uLE iso as a master disc?

Well, there's nothing for the program to patch. So no unfortunately.

Yeh, i use swap magic also. (3.6) and boot it from a USB thumb drive. DTL-30001 E.
I was after a later 50000 DTL because i wanted magicgate support for the Sony HDD, but they like the early 10000 models are thin on the ground now. (UK anyways) Have you tried posting in the WTB section?

I haven't used the master disc patcher, but I thought that all that was needed was a SYSTEM.CNF file to patch? Which is included in the CD/DVD releases of uLE.

Hi again cde, yes I posted a WTB thread, but nobody has replied unfortunately.

A master-patched Ulaunchelf disc works fine, I use one regularly on my dtl-h10000.

Sure, get a pre-made Ulaunchelf .iso (CD or DVD) from the official forum, extract the files from the .ISO, rename the .ELF to something like SLES_000.00 and edit the SYSTEM.CNF file accordingly.
Recreate an .iso using cdgenPS2 (use the LBAs from the original .iso), then patch it using the Master Disc Patcher.

Wasn't patching at first. Then got a successful patch using your example exe name, and now it's just booting to blank screen. :(

Then after like 15 seconds there's a distorted PS1 boot noise.

    Did you remake the .iso?

    I did yes using cdgenPS2.

Not 100% on this bit though:

EDIT: I noticed that the SYSTEM.CNF LBA changed so I used the original value, gonna try it now.

    EDIT2: Still blank screen. :(

If you drag the file in the correct order (DUMMY.DMY, SYSTEM.CNF and SLES000.00), the LBAs will be the same as on the original ISO (the files will be in the same position on the new disc).
Did your TEST recognize the disc as a PS2 CD-ROM (blue) or as a PS1 (black)?

Black (PS1). I'm assuming it should be blue?

    Yes it should...
Did you tick "Master Disc", "CD" and "America" in the Disc Patcher utility?

I thought SLES was Europe? Should I have checked America?

Thanks man, the US one worked perfectly! I've always thought that the region coding was for the game.

Your PS2 only boots JP games right? Later ones can boot anything, so that's why I was trying PAL stuff first.
