Recently I have acquired a debug PS3 (DECH-A00A) and was greeted with the following screen

Upon trying to exit this "game" it halts at a black screen.
I'm not sure what to do because I can't change any settings and I also cant exit without it halting. Is there any solution to this? Is there any way to I guess reset the console to factory debug settings manually?

For the first time when you power up the unit, you should get the screen above. After that press and hold down the power button till the unit is off, then press the power button again. It should boot up normally again.

Rebooting does nothing but send it back to that screen and exiting to xmb still freezes it. Luckily another user on assembler I have contact with informed me about booting and holding for 1 beep to allow it to boot in a normal manner. I had done so and changed settings back to software mode and not debug mode.
All is well now as the unit has gone back to the way I had expected it to. Th user (charles) has aided me in getting it to boot normally and I thank him immensely.

This can be closed if need be.

His system is a TEST, it behaves differently than the TOOL. The suggestion you made only works on a TOOL :D

because debug mode is black screen or info screen only
yes, one beep + one beep it reset to XMB menu,
than go debug setting , set system mode is SYSTEM or release it will fix your issue
