Deffective SNES, will not boot. Hear the coin cling in SMW...Plus another.

If I insert mario Kart I see the Nintendo logo and then the snes gives nothing, if I insert Mario World I will hear the coin cling but nothing else.

It's one of those old SNES.

This is a console I salvaged and called dead, I wish to resurrect it.

I have this other Snes that works fine but will pause randomly (well actually it does when certain inputs are entered)
When I press Up+Right and B+Y I've switched the AC connectors and I noticed the little component marked TDK near the AC is missing so we just created bridges so current went through. At first it wouldn't power on.

Those consoles can go to scrap but I'm just trying things up in these to learn new tricks.

    Thanks in advance guys.

The SNES in your picture is an old one, could be something as simple as a capacitor, or it could be a RAM issue.

As to the random pausing, I've seen that happen with worn controller wires, have you tried more than one controller. Also, bridging missing components is obviously not ideal, you might have answered your own question.

Had a unit with similar controller issues and some major glitching in FFIII, turned out to be the CPU was fried. The first one is probably a CPU or WRAM issue.

Yeah well I tried different controllers as I first suspected it could be the culprit, but they all did that, I switched the controller connector unit and it stll did that.

I'm starting to think that whatever buttons are pressed on the controller, if 4 inputs are given at the same time the snes kinds of overload and pause... I'm confused.
