Deleted Urban Strike level (Genesis)

Anyone ever heard of this? I wasnt aware there was a Proto of US floating around...?

I remember reading about this in another forum, it had pics and comparisons etc anyway, cant remember where it was so heres a youtube video link to the level in question

It shows the guy inputing a code, then a small intro showing the laser strike on the "twin towers" then it takes you into the game.

 

I think you misunderstand - the 9/11 premonition thing in US is common knowledge - what im querying is the cited 'Downed Jet' level in US, from Wikipedia

I smell BS personally - I reckon that Wikipedia update was a hoax.

You guys also forgot to realize that Urban Strike came out in 1994, after the WTC 1993 car bombing. So, the level was obviously based on recent events and was included in the game. It was probably taken out because it would have raised some issues and that wouldn't have been good for EA back then when videogames where this close to being censored by the government aside from the technical reasons the level wasn't included.

 

Well the video looks pretty legit to me! However I tried to read the code from the video; its:

L67KGRPFOR3 or L67KGRPFGR3

This level is available in the finished version... what im querying is the second piece in the Wikipedia article, about a deleted level (Which ive highlighted) - please dont spam the thread with stuff thats common knowledge - thx

 

As this all happened a long time before 9/11 my memory is jogged of a plane crash that happened in N.America in the 1990's that some were speculating had been shot down...I dunno, but maybe it was that story that led to the 'laser shooting down the plane' segment being deleted?

I really can't remember much more but it was quite a well-covered plane crash, and I do remember the 'theories' that it was shot down being quite prevalent...

That's definetely the one! but...I was wrong Urban Strike was released two years before, in 1994.

 

Isnt it obvious? 9/11 was made by a bunch of Urban Strike fans angry at EA for the cancellation of Future Strike and the release of Future Cop: LAPD.

Its a conspiracy!
