Every console has some games that are neglected, despite their quality. I fear that Dementium: The Ward will be one of those, so I thought it would be prudent to bring it to the attention of this board. The game is an M rated FPS for the DS and involves you, the player, having to escape from a freak-show psychiatric clinique. The story unfolds as you play. The graphics are one of the best I ve seen on the DS (and at 60FPS!) so far and the controls are simple and work. The theme is matched well with an ambient music and good use of sound effects to create an immersing , uneasy feeling, akin to that of the first resident evil. The action is well paced and the learning process isn't punishing at all in the beggining at least. Review on IGN: http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/831/831835p1.html The game was released in October 2007 PS: Recommended for DsLite users - my brick DS makes my eyes hurt a bit to be honest, but there's a brightness setting nonetheless =)
Was looking around Yakumo and can only find a US release, even on Play-Asia the only one they have is a US release.
I have this game and its GREAT! Im not a big fan of FPS's on the DS but once you get used to the controls its nice. Very good looking and have a nice creepy feel if played in the dark. It looks like it uses a similer sytem to Hotel Dusk and thats my favorite DS game of all time so it gets my vote either way. My only gripe, like Doom3 you must put away your flashlight to pull a weapon >_< DAMN YOU DUCTTAPE WHERE ARE YOU?
