I just found about about this cool device:

    Demo System DS-16 6-Cart Changer
[IMG]Originally used in in-store kiosks during the Genesis’ run, this sweet little changer was able to switch between six different cartridges with the press of a button. It connected to the Genesis console via a special cart, while the attendant held the long palm-grip button (looks more like a detonator to me) and flipped back and forth between the available games. These are quite rare now, given that you can barely find a decent kiosk at all nowadays. Those that have one can finally complete the store demo experience by snagging this changer

I want to know more if anyone can tell me something. I mainly want to know if it is 32X compatible or not. I also have a WTB thread for it so go there if you have one and are willing to part with it.

Sorry to resurect an older thread I made when I was still a n00b here but this is important.

I now have a DS-16. My question is on the auto switch timer funtion they supposedly had built in. On the back of the unit is a switch and inside is a pot. The pot can turn half a round in either direction. I assumed this was for adjusting the time but my system doesn't seem to be changing games even after 15 minutes and several adjustments of the pot. Any ideas?

My unit is from 19898 and has serial # B30000305. Model # 1660

    Pictures:

I modified my unit a bit by removing the barrel lock on the front and putting a button directly on unit for switching.

This is the switch. It is in the "ON" postision right now.

And this is of the pot. This picture was taken through a hole in the casing at the back of unit.

Anyone have any ideas as to the timer length or what these do if there is no timer built in? On a side note, my unit doesn't support games that save progress like Sonic 3.
