I first created a thread to try and translate a scan about the Design Master (Before I found out about the translation thread). I decided it would just be easier to make a full blown thread about the Design Master Densi Mangajuku Contribute any information or thoughts about this mind-bogglinly obscure console How successful was it? How good are the games? How many games were they? Is it even a video game console? Here's all I know. This video game console was released in 1995 and was made by Bandai. It seems to be the first touch screen handheld video game (Beating the Game.com by a few years). It had a lot of games based on Anime and a game based on Megaman. Picture time! It looks like a screen-cap of a video (That would be great to find) Back of the box Picture of the illusive console A photo of the console A (Poor quality) video of the console http://youtu.be/So9MadID_qk
Thanks for sharing. The device's name should be correctly transliterated as "Denshi Manga Juku". I remember seeing an ad in an old Family Computer Tsuushin (Famitsu) magazine from late 1994. Will scan it as soon as I can. As Shou has said elsewhere the main purpose was to draw manga characters by following the instructions and templates on screen. It's probably worth something mainly to fans of the featured mangas. I don't know anything about the games but some Capcom IP such as Rockman and Street Fighter was also released on the system. Check out these threads for some info: https://www.gamengai.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3114 http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?37624-Bandai-Design-Master-Densi-Mangajuku Maybe AG member scaramouche can tell us more about the games on the system although I can't imagine them to be very exciting (the device probably displays still images only).

Hmm... the first link is interesting. There is a scanned manual of the Sailor Moon "game" you can download. I don't really get why they called this a game. As it seems you can just have your drawing rated or click around to generate some kind of horoscope. Yawn...
Too bad that most of the games released on the system were drawing ones. The most interesting thing I found was this An RPG on this system would have been interesting (Not as intriguing as the idea of Street Fighter II)
