I just play video game on playstation 3 "Destiny" and I find it really impressive and the graphics are superb. I find really appealing against video game I played that at demo version of this game and I intend to take me the full version. Is this someone got others opinions concern this game?
Pros: Controls are solid for a console FPS, graphics are very pretty, content can be fun on occasion Cons: Forced DLC bullshit, bland story, grindfest, anti-player developers, unbalanced multiplayer (Blademaster = win), repetitive missions
I only rented it, but the fact that Bungie seems concerned with DLC and patching any popular exploits that the users found instead of the glaring issues in the game turn me off. Plus all the old guns became just about worthless after the first expansion, which doesn't bode well for the other 6 ones on the horizon.
What's really funny is that the same review sites that gave Skyward Sword a 90+ Metascore, probably on the basis of "Uh, it has Zelda in the name, so it has to be good, right?" (in Arnold voice: "WRONG!") gave Destiny the mediocre scores it deserved. Activision couldn't even pay them to say nice things about it.
The gameplay is good, if you don't count the grinding and sometimes buggy mess. If the good things of Destiny could be transfered to another game with a good story and better game design, that would make a fantastic game.
This is especially sad when you take into consideration what Bungie used to be ;_; Heck they even did free DLC till MS told them to knock it off. But yes the game can be bad but it does have some good to it, Like the art design is fantastic and the gunplay is top tier but then we have the bad like all this DLC bull and the fact the PvP is crap. I get a PSO feel from it so IDK maybe thats why I cut it some slack. :/
My roommate has it. Common complaints he had have already been posted here. I can't stand Activision anymore, so anything they publish I try to avoid. I honestly believe if Activision wouldn't have published it, it could have been a solid, at least mostly all-inclusive package. Even EA probably would have been better. By what margin I'm not sure.
I think it should've been a Sony exclusive worldwide and not an Activision publication (I know Sony publishes the PS3 and PS4 versions in Japan and the Xbox versions don't exist at all).
I don't see anything wrong with those opinions to be honest. Zelda:SS was actually a great game, if you put the flying aside (even though it's still quicker and more eventful than Wind Waker boat travelling). Destiny really does deserve those mediocre scores honestly. The game has promise, but ruined by the DLC and lack of decent overall campaign.
The question is whether or not Sony would have pumped the funds into Bungie the way Activision did. Activision wanted Destiny to be their second CoD, which is why they dumped massive amounts of money into it.
I played it once, when i first got my PS4. Just did the introduction part. Will try play it again this week, since it's the carnival holiday.
A friend of mine has been trying get me to buy Destiny, but after playing the demo, I don't feel like it's my cup of tea. It's really cool at first, but you end up killing the same type of enemy over and over. Like others have said, too, there's a lot of grinding and the lame DLC setup.
nothing special, it was much better if they spend that money on other games (kikcstarter project fro example)
