I just don't have the time to unlock every last detail in Soul Calibur III among other games.

what is the best Save Transfer device for the PS2?

I use Codebraker 8.0 (the latest is 9.3 if i'm not wrong). With it you can use a USB pendrive to transfer saves from and to the PS2.

I use to make backups of all my saves.

I use the PS2 Memory Adaptor from EMS. It was the first device to backup PS2 saves:

    http://www.hkems.com/product/ps2/ps2-mem.htm

With this device you can also use smart media carts for game saving.

But nowadays the hardware is outdated (Parallel I/O!) and the data transfer is slow. I cannot recommend it anymore unless you have a really old computer with no USB.

The Action Replay Max also allows for this.

The action replay max from my research sounds like my best bet. It'll play genesis roms!

I was going to suggest this, but i thought he wanted a retail product.

Anyway, Ulaunchelf is a great tool, but for this, i prefer to use codebraker.

Yeah I was going to get an action replay max because it has a built in Genesis emulator

only reservation I have is that I hear it can coruupt memory cards.

Except it won't, at least mine won't play ball. It can't find them on USB memory or via the CD that the software creates (it won't even load the disc).

The other options are great however.

So I'd be better off with a code breakers and a USB drive then?
