Hi, I've recently bought a devkit with a PSP go controller. Trying it, I only obtain black screen through VGA and Controller and the controller doesn't power on. Also, the power led only blinks green (or orange trying network init) without stopping. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks in advance
How long do you live it on when doing the system init? It can take a while. It takes 2 full minutes here before it stops blinking. You need to make sure it's connected to the Ethernet when you do it. Can you access the web panel at all?
Thanks for the reply Around 30 minutes. Yes, it was connected, but there is no led activity on the router and on the back of the PSP. I tried 192.168.0.10 : nothing here. Also, the PSP isn't shown in the connected devices list of the router
Hum... 192.168.0.10 is the ip address you get if it fails to get one from the DHCP server. You may want to try connecting direclty to the devkit and ping the IP (after doing a network init) or/and setting a permanent ip address for your devkit's mac address and check if you can reach if after network init. Also check your controller connection to see if it's not faulty. If all the above fails, it's most likely a hardware related issue. I would suggest trying another controller to see if that fixes the issue (assuming you have one available) Otherwise you will need to open the unit and see if anything is amiss, check connections/cables, change the coin cell... it's possible a cable/ribbon cable went lose during transport or the coin cell is depleted.
Hi, I've tried to switch on the PSP keeping pressed the Network init button : flashing orange. I've tried to connect the PSP directly to the PC: it can't find the ethernet cable (normal ethernet cable). I've tried to connect the PC and the PSP to a Switch: no led activity from the PSP. I can't try another controller (I only own a PSP Go controller), but it's esthetically ok (I can see the metal mesh on the controller's side, but I can't see some broken wires)
I would suggest you open the main unit (the white tower) and look for any cables that may have gotten loose. I would also suggest you replace the coin cell on the motherboard. It is also possible one of the motherboard's dip switches is in the wrong position (sadly I don't know the proper positions for these switches myself, I would have to open one of my devkits to find that out) or that one of the soldered wires got loose, so check for that. If none of these actions work your unit probably has a more serious issue.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I haven't noticed loose cables or unsoldered wires. I think that the coin cell is ok (3.02V). Now I've got another T1000: luckily this is working (FW 6.37) and also the controller works. I will open the new T1000 and I'll try to find some differences (I have already noticed that the LED around the ethernet port in the new unit goes green without cable, but in the older unit it never goes green also with cable). P.S. The newer unit stops to blink also without the controller.
