I really can't press diagonals on my PSPs D-Pad. It's possibly the worst D-Pad design I have ever used. Is there anything I can do to make it better? I'd rather not open my PSP, but if I have to...
Pre-order Street fighter alpha 3, get the d-pad cover they send you. Apprenly it makes using the pad, well playable. Maybe you can order the pad cover on it's own, yet to see it sold other then pre order from Capcom.
That works well...although i've heard that some, take say a d-pad from a snes or similarly sized one to the psp and over lay it on the psp Ryan
wow..... sf3 is not out yet? my local target has like 10 copys of them.... and im not even kidding, they also have like 10 copys of a mega man game....
I'm having problems with the diagonals too. It seems when I play Tony Hawk Underground Remix, and it prompts me to do a trick using the diagonals, it doesn't work...it does a basic "Right + O" or something similar. Grr....will probably try to get that Street Fighter cover.
its sadly a design issue, when i play the neo geo emu its apparent when i can easilly pull off moves facing to the right, but when i try to pull them off facing to the left they rarely register. There is a method that involves cutting a piec of the those nes slight cases and i think putting a piece of some padding or somehting, works perfect from what i hear and real easy to do. Go to the gamefaq streest fighter alpha 3 forum (i know they are awful but its the only place i know that has it detailed).
there is a mod to "fix it" you get one of those NES game sleves, and cut a d-pad size part and open up your psp... put it in between the d-pad and the little plastic parts that touch the pcb. it aparently works really well.
