Did the 1.2 come with a Samsung DVD drive at all?

So after looking around for hours I finally figured my Xbox is a 1.2.

MFG date: 2003-01-06
Serial number: 4006864 30205

From what I've understood this model used Thompson DVD drives and primarily used Western Digital HDD. But mine came with a Samsung DVD and Seagate HDD. The HDD isn't anything to wonder about since some 1.2 models had it but the Samsung SG605 DVD drive is eye catching.

Thoughts?

 

is the xbox stock? has it been opened before?

 

It was completely stock and unopened before I got my hands on it. Too bad the Samsung DVD drive was dead. Temporarily using a Phillips drive from a 1.6 until I get my hands on a good working Samsung SG616T for hacking up.

 

Yep. 2003 was the start of the roll out of them...
