Did the PSX developers have blank PSX discs similar to blank GD-R's?

When playstation developers were making their PSX games, did they have blank PSX disc like how Dreamcast developers had blank GD-R's with their dev kits & GD-Burners?

This is incorrect. Though many developers chose to use generic media, there was official blank media for both the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, not to mention the Sega Saturn.

EA, THQ, Interplay (might be others I'm forgetting) had their own CD-R's made, so most of those games should be on "official" media.

 

I saw a stack of 150 blank psx cd-rs go for $75 on ebay a couple months ago. Really wish I had the money at the time :/

 

I wonder why they are cheaper than most Dreamcast GD spindles... $300...

I want a MegaCD CDR, that would complete my wish list of blanks then.

 

2 of each is all I need. I only have 2 blank GD-R's, prob looking for 2 blank PSX discs...

 

blanks cds can be found anywere, so it's just a mather of aesthetic and ''oficialism'' , or just to have a playstation logo on your burned games. While you can't go to best buy and pick a spindle of blank gdroms.
