Hi guys. This kinda ties in with the topic on N64 overclocking but yet its not so much about the actual overclock so I made a new topic for it. Anyway I know that the clear cased N64's are better for it, and that they may well be the only ones to withstand a 3.0x multiplier and still boot fine. I have 2 of the clear units but both are the clear green. I know there was a special Donkey Kong Version of Nintendo 64 and I know there was the jungle green fruity color one. How can I tell if my units are the special edition Donkey Kong ones? Are they the same, just the DK one was released earlier? I would like to know how I can tell if the board will support a 3.0x multiplier before I do it, but I dont know of any sure fire way to do so. Thanks! :thumbsup:
