I put Namie Amuro Digital Dance Mix on today for the Saturn just to see if it still could hold it's head up high 6 years down the road. I was amazed to see that it could !! The 60fps high-rez images still look shockingly good. If only Sega used the Saturn as well as this tech demo that was actually released in Japan. Digital Dance Mix is by far the best looking visuals on any system before Dreamcast, PS2, XBOX, Game Cube. Take a look at the below shots and be prepeared to be stunned. I've made a video too that will be available soon. Yakumo
I bought this a week or so back. It should be here any day now. ^_^ I just had to have it as Am2 made it. Next on my list is Yoot Saito's very own Yoot Tower. ^_^
Wow! That looks very good indeed! I am happy that I bought this game in Japan (still has to come in the mail though), I felt it was shit but it was only 100 yen :smt043
how much is shipping from japan. I feel everytime i buy something from Japan be it cheap or expensive i always end up pay half the cost of the product or more.
Re: Go on Sure, it's quite easy to come buy. Say 1500yen in total after postage and paypal charges. Yakumo
When you see it moving it looks even better. When you play the polygon model on the white background it looks almost real. It really does. I'm not hyping it at all, that's just how fluid and sharp it looks. If anyone has this disc or is going to get it then you should run it though S-Video at least. Running it though RF or AV will look awful due to the hi-rez images. Yakumo
Video now on line on my FTP. The video runs for 12 minutes and has quite a decent picture quality. It's nowhere near as good looking as the high rez visuals of the original Saturn game but at only 40 Meg in size you can't complain The video shows just how good this looks. You can make out the quality of the textures and fluid animation but what you can't see is the high resolution but still, beter than nothing. The video was encoded in X-Vid Mpeg 4 FTP Login details are IP - segagaga.serveftp.com LOGIN - Assembler PASS - Yakumo PORT - 21 Enjoy !! Yakumo
Well yakumo i just saw the video and i say i am amazed on how fluid the animation is, granted there technically only one character thats fully detailed and such, i can only imagine how much better this looks playing it on a saturn(as regular video can not diplay up to 60fps, i think the max is 30fps), either was im really impressed on what they pulled off, but it seems to me this is mostly a fan disc, i can only imagine how much sega had to pay to get rights for this game.
wow! that's amazing and shocking! i remember the day when i've said the saturn was a bit better than a 32x, what a big mistake! (hangman) it look way better than any psx games and can compete with alot of n64 games using the expansion pak! woah! im totally amazed, i can't belive it! thx yakumo! :-D
Agreed very impressive, but as mentioned, with not a lot else going on, it can dedicate all it power onto those few models.
I paid $12 for it shipped. And yes, $7 of that was shipping, but then sellers do need to pay the postage and cover ebay/paypal costs somewhat.
