DIGITAL TV IN FRANCE

    You misread the specs, it has no built-in tv tuner, it's just a hdd recorder.

    Anyway the digital tv in france is shite for some reasons, only 17 channels
    (wich only 2 or 3 are worth watching and 6 of the channels were already available on the analog), the service is free BUT you need an external tuner to access it that can't do anything else(satellite or whatever), you can actually use a tuner bought in another european country except for those sold in UK.
    And most, if not all, french ISPs are providing a better TV service through DSL or cable.

    My uncle has the 100gb model of that. It's shit for video. You need Xilisoft video converter or DVD converter to get DVDs on it (and movie encoding = long and slow), and the TV pass-through recording dock is crap, doesn't even work.

    Must have put up the wrong model, but his does have the digital tuner in

    If only a few channels I will probably not bother, just plonk myself in a bar with a TV ;-)
