It's a shame that the link has died down, now, that I finally saw this thread.

I'm really curious to see if this demo has any differences compared to the Japanese Trial Edition.
I've been searching for this one for years to no avail...

I just finished uploading my Resident Evil and Dino Crisis proto & demo collection, it would be neat if I could add this one to the list.

As you can see, the US demo was compiled after the final JP build.
That's interesting, I always assumed that it was exactly the same demo as the Japanese one.

I haven't compared them for ingame differences yet.
Here's a location modifier and a code to unlock the full title screen menu for the JP demo, if somebody wants to dig into it:

The cool thing about these demos is that they actually contain an early version of the entire game. The lazy devs just blocked access to later areas, but they are all on the disc.

 

Cool, they're all going up on archive.org sometime this year. So much has been coming in for PSX redump lately so it's hard to decide when to ship a drive off.
