nah part 3 is not so bad. has a nice feeling. but the controls can be a pain in the ass. but if you accomplish the game you will experience a great story and a surprising ending. i even bought the guide book for this game, it's cool
indeed.people who claim it's bad..well it's as bad as mario sunshine. It's not a bad game, it just doesnt fit well into the established norms of the franchise.
Yeah, I have to agree. Part of me saying how horrible it is is simply because it bares little resemblance to that of Dino Crisis 1 and 2.... If you could look past that then it might not be such a bad game. Just like Resident Evil 4. I cant stand that game. But its only because it has the name "Resident Evil" and isnt anything like the first 3. :crying: But I did like Super Mario Sunshine alot. :icon_bigg
Seriously? I get what you mean but....if 4 was like the other games, I dunno. I don't think that works well now. Silent Hill is having the problem where every new game still carries forth the dated game design, which is basically a scavenger hunt. At least Origins was like that, dunno about homecoming. I do get what you mean though.
I also see what your trying to say. But thats just what I am attached to. I love all of the originals and old types of games. And I always will. Once they dramatically change a series such as Resident Evil to the way it is now, all of my childhood memories come back to me. Just, I love the style of the old Resident Evils. Mainly because those were some of the only games like that. Tons of puzzle solving, static camera, pre-rendered backgrounds, just a ton of fun. Now RE has evolved into an over the shoulder shooter that is mainly based on action, much less on puzzles. Dont get me wrong, RE 4 and 5 are definitely great, but the sheer fact that they have RE in their titles ruins it for me, because I am so used to the old. Same with Dino Crisis. 1 and 2 were just great, then out of nowhere, they change the Hell out of it. Same with Megaman X 1-4, same with everything. But maybe a change was needed from that old style of play. RE 4 and 5 definitely appealed to a larger group than the older ones did. So why wouldn't Capcom take the series that way? They would be foolish not to... But I am just a minority... Profit is what matters, not what a small group of people like. Sorry for interrupting your thread Barc0de. ;-)
I can see your point CrAzY, but Dino Crisis 1 and 2 were nothing like each other, if you recall. 2 was a RE clone of sorts and it was much faster-paced/badass than the first one. The first one scared the crap out of me!
Ah yes, I get what you mean exactly. Though 4 did kind of invent a new style of action game, I loved it, but I do see what you mean. It would be cool if they redid 2 or something in the old style, I liked those as well. A lot of people hated the controls and camera but I loved that. RE1, RE2 and the remakes are badass, I loved the remake a lot especially.
Was it really? For some reason I don't seem to recall that. I thought they were basically the same. Damn, I definitely have to play them again, and hell, might as well as play 3 too! :110: And Hellz Yeah! I remember how scared I was playing Dino Crisis for the first time! Hot Damn! h: And yeah PhreQuencY, the remake was definitely badass. (Your talking about Resident Evil 1 on the Gamecube, correct? :110: )
Yep! Yeah, I've never played Dino Crisis 2 but I did play the first on Dreamcast (cracked up at the part near the beginning...."Wow, thats disgusting!" or something.) and I remember it pretty much playing like Resident Evil, so if the second one did then...yeah.
The first one used poly-everything, whereas the second one used fixed cameras and prerendered backgrounds, much like the RE series. 2 had more dinos, weapons, etc
