I think this question was asked before, basically most of the switches are for the timer to reset the game after a certain amount of gameplay time. One is to disable the memory card slot, one is to disable xbox live and one is to disable the xbox button so you can't quit the game.
Ah the timer is labeled, it's just the other 8 that I have no idea what they go too. You dont happen to know which one is which do you? Hawk
Nope, although altering them one by one and loading up a game should give you an idea of what does what.
Yeah I'll try that I set the timer and just had a game in and it never did anything different. I'll just have to mess around with it. Thanks again. Hawk
Yeah that is it I bought that to go in Kiosk to make it more offical, but i didn't get a manual, do you have one? Hawk
Nope, I'm afraid not mate. Didn't get any docs with it at all. I fiddled with the switches for while when the kiosk was set up - but dont recall any changes. I always had the feeling that the "location" switches would be used for identifying the kiosk from others if they were all hooked up through the medusas. But then I'm probably clutching at straws..
Quoting this, but can't state how reliable the OP was. Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2005/10/25/pics-from-wal-mart-xbox-360-kiosk-install-instructions/
I was under the understanding, that they were the sets given out to stores for use in the enclosed kiosks. The ones where they would run a game, or similar, so buyers get the feel of what it is and all. The controller part of things, is what I believe limits what the 360 is allowed to show to the user. So each settings has specific parameters within the dashboard. ie, the user isn't allowed to change system preferences, skip the dashboard and load a demo from startup, and most probably other unique features like disabling the wireless connectivity from the 360 and other controllers. But that's just what I'd assume would come with having a kiosk controller set.
Thats pretty cool how much are they running for and where can I get this utility? I'm a collector of little tools like this.
Different Prices when you can find them. At the moment I have an extra one, but someone already asked me about it. Hawk
