A lot of sites have already switched from Flash to HTML5 or something else. I can't remember any browser I've used ever crashing because of Flash, though. I used to use Flash a lot for animation, and I still use it for some things. It's not bad as a program for creating content like that; it just isn't great as a basis for a webpage.
I noticed that it did not happen to everyone. It may/may not be a Microsoft Windows 10 thing, but it used to cause Firefox to hang whenever some Flash ad started to play. And when Firefox crashes, any Adobe software (i.e. Acrobat Reader) open would also crash with it. :| On my bro's laptop, the text in Adobe Acrobat Reader would also disappear (all characters will turn into black lines). But well, I'm not surprised if the crashes and weird glitches were really just Windows 10 things. Even until today, I am waiting for Mozilla/Microsoft/Intel to fix the problem with dots dancing on my Youtube seek bar... since September 2015. On my desktop PC (Windows 7), some of the Kancolle wikia pages seems to cause my browser to lag very badly, seemingly depending on which ad was loaded. Even though my PC isn't very old (constructed in 2013).
