    Hi Folks,

Just before Christmas last year I posted around on various gaming sites, the work I've done for a
"Do it yourself SEGA Game Gear Flash cartridge". So I came across this site and figured I would post it here as well for you all to check out.

I have been working on this Flash cartridge for the SEGA Game Gear (1Mbyte version) for some time now. I got temporarily distracted by working on my other 512Kb version.

I finally landed a working design for this one, and so I compiled together a 5 Part instructional video along with a 26 Page "Step by Step" guide in PDF format for you all to follow.

I have also included a Full schematic design and a PCB layout of my GIGANTIC Prototype PCB that I used during the development process.

Anyhow, there's a few ways of building this unit and I I'll leave it up to you to choose.

Hopefully the info I've supplied here will help you all to build your own 512kb Flash cart.

I'm going to continue to work on the 1Mbyte version and hopefully I can eventually get this sucker up and running.

You can access all the the documentation and Links from my Website at the link below:

(Site is under constructions so please excuse the crudity of the current layout)

    Talk to you all later,
    -Gerry

Wow! Great work! Keep it up! Any other development plans after the 1Mbyte version is finished?

    future plans

With my College Technologist program going full time, it's rare that I have time to play in my Lab so....... not sure when I'll finish.

A bunch of different people have contacted me with a strong interest targeted towards the "Neo Geo Pocket color". So this hand-held has been interfaced to my diagnostics equipment for the past few weeks.

Again with school, not sure when I'll find time to play in the Lab again.

I'll keep you all posted though, and I'll open up a new thread if I get anywhere.

    Regards,
    -Gerry
