    Hi everyone,

I noted that on Gameboy DMG systems and controllers from various consoles/manufactures, they tend to use these rubber pads between the PCB and the buttons. When you press the button, it pushes down on the rubber pad, which in turn hits the PCB.

For DMG systems which have buttons that are not responsive (Ie. Sometimes doesn't register, needs to be pushed down very hard, etc) or plain does not work, is there a proper way to fix this? Does the part where the PCB makes contact with the rubber need to be cleaned in such cases? Or is it maybe the rubber pad needs replacing?

I noted that even with new aftermarket rubber pads (With original Nintendo buttons) that sometimes there's still responsiveness issues. Maybe the kind of pads make a difference in how they register hits? Would using only original Nintendo DMG pads and buttons make this better? Or is this simply all dependent on the condition of the console/PCB and nothing to do with the pads itself?

The contacts are carbon based, I just replace them with low profile dome keys
