Probably what the French say when we say words like "resume", "rendezvous", etc... or when we don't say them for that matter. :)

Spanish is going through that. Lots of Anglicisms in Mexican Spanish that cannot be understood in Spanish-Spanish because, after all, they're so far away from the States. Mexican marketers seem to have the same complex that made Engrish - they want to put stuff in English in their ads even if they can't begin to fathom the language.

Thus, we get short lived products like "American Security Systems" (which is shown as an Acronym with a wolf's image under it), which, of course, are hilarious for people that have gone above grade-school English.

Man, I wish I'd taken a picture of that one...

Mr. Casual - Yeah, Freakazoid was a WB cartoon show back in the early 90s, when the Internet was just becoming a buzzword. The hero is some sort of geek that becomes a superhero by entering a "special keyword" into the web after getting a new processor for his computer.
Eventually, he meets some guy who goes to conventions and loves super heroes and wants, desperately, to be his sidekick - FanBoy, or "FB!".
I think, however, the term has to have been used before this - but I'm sure he's the posterboy from the Internet Era fanboyism.

I cant get a shit from those tex-mexs. They speak this kind of babbled spanish with black english and lack of logic. In other word: just shot them

Anyways, french easier than spanish? french has like 4 types of acentuation, and more rules that D&D :smt042

I friend of mine knows russian. Its not that difficult, most of it weird letters are actually an equivalent of ours.

Yeah, Freakazoid, too nerdy for the mainstream, yet pretty easy to understand. It had some really well written episodes, but the last ones were pretty crappy.

FB was like the fat owner of the comic store in the simpsons, just that more stupid and childish (think that this show was in WBkids).

The scene with Mark Hamill rocks, too bad that the generation at it was targeted to didnt even kwen what starwars was :smt043

    aha, pretty funny indeed. :)
i don't think anyone who say this sound stupid though, that's just make me smile.

French is a pretty though language, maybe not the worst, but grammatically speaking
this is hell, even for someone who speak it since his first word, and write it since the elementary school. there's just way too much exceptions. But writting and speaking is
    two different things.

For an easy language, go for English for sure. :p

You just described English. Painfully apparent when you try to teach ESL. :/
Not sure about the other langauges, but US kids are still learning grammar in high school. The Japanese kids are up to their noses in kanji.

That's because he can't speak English eaither. There are quite a few older guys who just mumble away. Japan has them too. I can't understand half the old guys here. just sounds like one bid mumble to me.

Spanish and Portuguese being so alike, this is also so very true for Portuguese.

Too bad I haven't got a degree or at least some formation in teaching Portuguese. It'd be awesome to live there and get a job teaching Portuguese. Well, I may teach some English instead as I believe my english (teaching) skills are way better than my Portuguese ones. :D

Heh, this reminds me of an e-mail I sent to a Japanese university student some while ago. She was 23 years old, was doing her master's degree at uni, and still she asked me to use easy english in her first reply.

Now it's not really that much of a problem anymore, as I am studying Japanese at university. Funny how fast my Japanese surpassed her English actually. :D

I heard French and German language education was much better in Japan, but also much smaller than its English counterpart. Is this correct?
