I'm getting into retro gaming in style as best I can. I want an rgb monitor but until then I've purchased these items and picked up a 1997, 32, magnavox tv. Problem I noticed though is the TV has no s-video port. I'm planning on using my sega genesis 1 and snes/nes system on it. Do I need to find a similar tv with s-video or is there a way I can still make this work? Not sure if all 3 pictures of all 3 items is gonna show. If not I'll post 3rd cord after this post Screenshot_20160830-173937.png Screenshot_20160830-174006.png Screenshot_20160830-173937.png Screenshot_20160830-174006.png

If I had an S-Video I wouldn't try to connect it to SCART because the original signal is still S-Video so that's the best you will get, that's my understanding anyway.
I don't know what you would want to do with SCART to component, most consoles from PS2/GC/Xbox era have component cables with RCA connectors. If you actually had a TV with SCART you wouldn't want to waste it on component, rather connect an older system like Snes/Mega Drive directly to SCART.
So you have to decide whether you are going to get a TV with SCART inputs or just get S-Video cables with the current one

    SCART supports component

    SCART also has S-Video iirc

Found a Sony trinitron 32 inch tv I'm picking up tomorrow. Has 2 s-video ports. So that's good news. I'm assuming it's the best I can get until I get a Sony pvm/rgb monitor??? So will these scart cables improve the picture at all? Or just s-video is as good as it gets?

RGB Scart is better than S-Video. Component is better than S-Video.
