The title says it all. Do we want a Political discussion section on ASSEMbler? Vote yes or no. The pole closes on the 20th August.

Gaming board - those discussions lead to nothing - delete the offtopic section ;-)

I voted against a political section. The last thing a gaming forum needs is a political section.

Voted no, because this is a gaming board and political discussion always lead to nothing but trouble, flamewars and hate.

I think you should allow it in the off topic section, as it is off topic and all. But we don't need a whole different section for it.

I would like it this way to. I must admit that I find that people here are very sensibel and have interesting things to say. That's why I voted yes. I don't know of many other boards where people make sense :smt023

well, we could test it , because politic is not only who will vote for bush or other things like that....
i voted no because of flaming ; things like I hate bush or i love bush (that always end in flaming....) ......that's not what politics is all about, not at all.

No vote from me. On the other boards I read they tend to turn nasty quick and go no where.

Hmm.. I'm not sure that's such a good idea.. I have seen several "new section for Cahaz' sig?" topics on other boards, and they always turn into flame wars. People tend to have very strong opinions on that subject.. Maybe we should have a poll about it..

    Booooooring!

It's always about American politics, "Bush is an evil dictator" or "Bush is the saviour of the 'free world' " :smt015

I know Yakumo said this as well and got a verbal hiding, but its true! its not we don't care about American politics, its just... we don't care!

There are enough political forums out there without tainting this one as well!

  15. I hear enough Bush flamewars in real life that I don't need them online too.

Y'know, I've read loads of political threads on various boards, but I don't think I've ever heard that ;)

I hear it a lot on a few techy forums that have a large American presence.

i think he is a cowboy that doesnt take shit from anyone. he's just finishing what his father started.. frankly i couldcare less who the president is. but i did not want al gore. he would try to "censor"
games or remove them entirely. everyone in my dads side of the family said "im not to fond of either one of them..."

    i also voted no.
why would you want politics in a gaming forum aNyway?

I vote no, this is mostly a gaming forum, not people debating stuff to death.
