Probably not but let us know what you do get by writing a nice letter to them.

They probably wont. Some small publisher might if they have a recent release and have demo disc around but generally you won't get very far.

Sony does give out demo disc frequently but they usually are with pre-order or a sign up on the game's website. This is sadly becoming less frequent since it's cheaper to just distribute games via PSN.

I don't know... I did this many years ago and I got two free demo discs from Namco - Postage marked from L.A.

I'm not even within the regular mailing range of demos and promotional items. I still got the discs. Mind you, this was like 7 years ago or so.

    SCEA is your best shot.
Again demo disc are really becoming a relic of gaming.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't electronics/game stores about the only places anymore to use demo discs, in their demo consoles? So they'd probably be your best bet...

I think the guys whole point is to try getting into collecting. Not just to have demos to play.

Subbie is right. I got mine because I'm a huge fan of Ace Combat, and the Namco Transmission disc that was upcoming had the trailer for Ace Combat 5. Also, it had a short Katamari Damacy demo.

I don't recall exactly to whom I sent email or why I registered, but I did and I got my disc.

And expecially if some of these demos are from games which their release will be cancelled it will be a hot collector's item (see Sonic Xtreme and NBA Elite 11). :p

Tangentially related: I think OXM still includes demo discs with their magazine.

If I were the game company I'd say no because so many people now just want to make money out of anything demo/promo/beta/etc. Same like famous game personalities who all of a sudden refuse giving autographs, except at official shows and on official (usually not free) papers/artworks. The assistant of a famous anime drawer clearly told me "the guy isn't signing anything on your book dude, we know it'll end on eBay or be sold sometimes soon".

oh sorry that was out of topic, totally

Still was very apt :) Also off topic about signatures, a quick look at the sales forum would show that some member waitied in line for a bit got a game signed and then promptly stuck it on the sales forum for over double the price.
