I've been wanting to create a game developing company for a long time now. Here's my idea: I will be working with LucasArts (yea, have no clue on how that's going to go down, because they have absolutely no contact info on their page about licensing. but then again, just start selling something Star Wars or Indiana Jones and they'll be on your ass in a matter of hours :rambo. The company itself will be a non-profit organization, so I will be able to request funds from the government. The reason I will provide for wanting a 501c3 company is that we are trying to create new game technology including game engines and eventually new consoles (which is actually completely legitimate, because that is what I want to do). I understand that I wouldn't be able to make money from any of the games. I will then register with the Xbox 360 Dev Tools and Middleware Program so I will be able to get the tools and XEDK's legally. Again, just wanted to see if people thought this was a good idea, and how I can modify to make it better. It's for those reasons, I'm not just trying to get a hold of dev kits and such.
Google the XBLA game Chime, there non-profit, 40% gets donated 60% is what it cost to make the game. personally i think the ideas stupid, but hey, you never know.
I think you've been up too late listening to MATT LESKO!!!!!!! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b7/MattLesko-cropped.jpg
