If anyone here owns the guide for DOAU, you'll see an ad for some DOA controllers. I searched the net and checked the site that was supposedly making them (they made the SF controllers) but never found any info at all other then sites saying they were coming soon. Did they ever actually come out?
Really?? They were Canceled ?? I'd better keep a hold of these images that I took then at the Tokyo Game Show in 2005 Yakumo
No, those are for the 360, but are cool looking hehe. These were for regular Xbox. The ad: Was that bottom controller in your pic a DOA controller?
Ah, them ones ! Sorry. Yes, the bottom controller in my picture is for Dead Or Alive 4 by Hori but of course will work on any Xbox 360 game. Yakumo
What made it for DOA though? Was it just marketed with some art on the box or controller or something?
No idea to be honest. I think Hori were just using Dead or Alive 4 as an excuse for people to buy the pad since it "feels much better" than the official pad for 3D fighting games, or so they say. Yakumo
That's because it's not called the Dead or Alive 4 controller.... It's called the Hori Pad EX Turbo and I've got one. The photo you posted shows a prototype version (here's the final: http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/87/31/24/00/0087312400046_500X500.jpg and same photo here: http://www.hori.jp/us/products/xbox360/horipad_ex_tb/index.html)
I prefear the prototype. Looks much cleaner than the blue one. I wonder why they changed the colour? Yakumo
To be honest I never look at the button markings anyway so the lack of letters on them wouldn't bother me. As for the analogue sticks I prefer the smaller ones because I have smaller fingers The main difference that I like about the proto is the colour. Just looks so cool compared to the dull looking blue one. Yakumo
