I didn't skip any cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid 2 and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

    I'm a sick individual, aren't I?

I skip all cutscenes, avoid stories, skip text and everything else about the game besides playing it. I don't even know the back story to Zelda and it's one of my favorite series.

Nope, not at all. If you skipped the cutscenes, you'd miss so many memorable lines such as "We've managed to avoid DROWNING!:)" or "No, 'Vamp' isn't for vampire. It's because he's bisexual.".

And also all that Emmerich family incest tradition.

This being said, Emma Emmerich was insanely hot.

Also, obviously, "I NEED SCISSORS! SIXTY ONE!"

    And, from another Kojima game:

"FEEL THE FURY OF ZAKAT THAT SCORCHED MARS!"

    Ah, those were the days...

Ocelot: "There's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber..." And lets not forget President Baker was constantly moaning when Ocelot says that.

There are so many great lines from the Metal Gear series. Reminds me of an old flash video I saw on newgrounds a while back which used audio files from the games and spliced them together to make parody codec calls. I remember one in particular:

Colonel: "Snake, who or what is that thing?"
Snake: "Otacon. He looks and smells like he's been dead for days."
Otacon: "Yup, that describes me pretty well. I like to think of it as a character flaw."

It continues, but I don't remember the rest of it.

The games themselves have a ridiculous story, but the dialog between the characters was always hilarious, even when it wasn't intended to be. I was disappointed when there were only two people to call in MGS4.
