We have a crap load of dead boards with good caps on them. I'm sure I'll have one lying around at work.
Assuming the designers didn't need 6.3v for a reason, such as having it blow itself after 6.3v. Doubtful but possible.
PM Me your addy so that I can send this out today via first class envelope. Its going to be a 10V 2200uF cap.
Let me post a pic of the size, this is a cap around a processor socket so space is restricted. This is the server I am trying to get online for the acclaim stuff.
http://cgi.ebay.com/2200-uf-6-3v-10...oryZ1244QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Shows the size and dimension, but it needs to be good up to 120 degrees.
I hope you mean farenheit and not celcius..... Ones that go at higher degrees are pretty expensive. I don't even know if they exist or not. The one I have is 105degress C
The 16V is probably a bit bigger than the 6.3V... Maybe it's not a problem, but I guess it might be 12,5mm × 25mm instead of 10mm x 20mm. I could send you some 2200u 6.3V miniature capacitors (10x20) monday morning. Let's hope that as long as the capasitor doesn't touch the CPU directly 105C will be fine... The bad news it that will take a week for them to reach you.... PM me a shipping address if you're interested. CF
Im having my father look and see if he has one at work as well in case your other contacts fall through or arent the right fit.
Consolefun is sending one out, I hope this works because it's a really expensive server board to replace even though it's older.
