does anyone know if destiny can be patched for offline use?

    i wanted to play some PVE with my RGH on Destiny, but haven't found an offline patch or anything. does anyone even know if it is possible?

    Probably. It depends by which data does the server send to the client. You might be able to intercept packages by setting up a linux-based package analyzer and then fake a server by connecting your Xbox/PlayStation directly to your computer with a crossover cable. It shouldn't be hard, but it may be totally unpractical. If Destiny uses end-to-end encryption, it will be a huge pain in the ass as well.

    its sever side only game. never going to happen offline sorry. the only ways to play this game is XBLS or for real buy it.

    To reiterate what Jack. said You would need to find out what exactly is being communicated with it.
    Obviously all the games enemies and locations are local so what does the server side do? If its just the matchmaking then yes its possible but where it that easy one would assume it would have been done by now.

    What I think is being done is probably enemy location and AI info, So if you did run the game offline then you probably would get just an empty world devoid of enemies, Also probably all the quest/objectives/drop rates and lists are online instead of on disk.

    Even then tho it might be possible to get it to look locally for all that so ya never know.
