Does anyone own a white VideoCD PlayStation?

Does anyone own one of those white Video CD Playstations? They were only sold in Asia. I have a question about it if you own one.

Stupid question, but what region games does it play? Japanese? I just got one and VCDs work fine but it doesn't boot any original games from Japan, US, or PAL.

 

since it is an asia model it should also play japanese games.

i remember i tested it with a japanese game , but i can check that as soon as i`m back home.

 

Both Japanese and Asian models share the same NTSC-J region coding so yes they can both run JPN titles only...

 

Well, I just got one. It was chipped. It wouldn't play VCDs (or I couldn't get it to) so I removed the chip. It then played VCDs fine but then wouldn't boot PS1 games (from any region, originals).
