My mafia suck! They never help with missions, send requested gifts or parts for the chop shop etc. And yet some of them have the audacity to ask for these parts themselves! It's getting very frustrating! If anyone plays Mafia Wars on Facebook regularly and is willing to help out with said missions and gifting, please let me know! Anyone's welcome as long as they contribute. I will, of course, help with any requests you post. If you're a low-level player, I might even have some spare items for you! If you're a higher level, we might possibly be able to trade!
I played. Got to level 800 with 501 mafia realised how much bullshit bangkok was (way too expensive weapons with too little payout) Vegas came out and made it all but impossible for people who arent as strong at fighting. Then gave up.
Bangkok is much easier now because old cities have triple mastery. Vegas is no problem. If you're talking about the fighting, you just switch to something other than the fight page, wait 30 seconds and go back - do that until you have a low-level enemy. Don't fight someone with 501 mafia and level 1500 if you're a level 200 with 200 mafia, that's crazy!

PM Sent! This sending bees/flowers etc. daily is getting stupid! One finishes and another starts! And they make it so you must collect MORE of the damn things!! I think it unbalances the game. If you have a 501 mafia (that send daily), you will already have a level 15 Chop Shop / Weapons Depot / Armory, probably the Vegas properties and maybe even the Italy properties, too. Therefore, you won't ask for the properties parts as the send once-a-day item, but you'll ask for the flowers collection (or whatever it is). You have more people sending, so you get the parts quicker... and you can probably go round again and revault it! I have less than 200 in my mafia, with about 60% being hired mafia and 40% being my real friends (I prefer not to cheat and spam add people I don't know - the original purpose of social networking games was to invite YOUR friends, giving the game more players.... not add people who already play!) Because of this (and my mafia being lazy), I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 people send me items per day. Therefore, I've not mastered properties and i struggle to get the flower collection. Likewise, I'm less likely to be able to stock up on weapons from friends.... and therefore weaker and will find fighting harder.
This game sounds nuts. How does it actually work? Do you need to run like a pyramid scam to get people to pay you or something?
Lol, it's a social networking game on Facebook. It's basically a text RPG sort of thing. You have energy and stamina, which you need to use to do jobs, and they replenish slowly. You get XP and money for doing jobs, money can be used to buy guns, vehicles etc. to make you more powerful or to have items to do jobs. After gaining so many XP, you level up, and get to spend points on attributes. Of course, you can spend real money to buy exclusive items, or refill your energy etc. And they want you to do that. It is possible to play it completely for free (as I do), though. You are encouraged to invite your friends to play. They can help you sometimes with jobs, also missions and they can send you one free gift per day. They also make your mafia stronger, so you have better odds of winning a fight. They can also gift items from their own inventory to you. That's where people started "cheating". There's a limit of 501 mafia members. So people go on the Facebook page for the game and post that they want more mafia. They then get loads of friend requests. Their mafia is increased, their stats go up and they get more gifts.
Yea err.... not a big fan of mafia wars... However I'm slightly addicted to this game called "Fantasy Online" while I was browsing for something to get my RPG fix. ( that and to kill time during class ) Actually are there any RPG's on facebook that are worth playing? ( and where you do something more than hit "play" and it does all the work for you =_= )
retro: actually most of my Mafia are just very good people who likes to send things around and vice versa. And and then I have a few "hired" Mafia members, that you can call NPCs . And no I do not have a "501" mafia, I have a Mafia, who thinks about others. And no I do have a complete collection of feathers and all that. And neither do I have a very high level of chop shops, but perhaps some of my Mafia members has that. The mainpoint is this, I do it as a daily chore to send energy packs to all my members, and send gifts to them too, and then I help out, when they need help, and so forth.
You remind me alot of me when it comes to helping people. I used to spend 4+ hours a day on that game sending gifts out and answering help requests. I maxed both my chop shop and weapons factory and finished new york, cuba (In a day lol) and russia in less than a month. Then I hit bangkok and it was such bullshit. I understand the money issues there are slightly fixed now but I just cannot be bothered doing it all again.
Lol exactly, it's much more fun to actually play the game with your friends, help them out and do it the hard way than to spam add 500 people you don't know just to be tougher!
