It came to light soon afterwards that he had, in fact, cheated on some Halo 3 achievements and deserved the penalty. What always made me angry about this was the mom. She was, as I see it, exploiting her son's disabilities for media attention when it not only didn't serve any purpose, because she couldn't do anything about his penalty, but she's referring to him as having no friends and no life on live television, which I think, mental disability or not, no mom should do to her kid. And, may I point out, she's letting her autistic child, who couldn't have been more than 13, play M rated games. Even if he wasn't autistic, I would hesitate to let a child of that age play GTA or anything like it. But someone who's mind is so impressionable and easily confused? That's just not right, imo. Anyway, anyone else have any views on this?
I'm autistic myself and I see the bullshit in what the kid's mother was trying to do. Let the "cheater" tag stay and get a real life. I have one.
