Does ebay pull game protos anymore?

Is it a free for all on ebay as far as protos go once again? Can we buy and sell without worry eBay will yank the auction?

Those items have already been relisted several times (auction ending with nobody buying), so I'd assume you can.

But (imo) those are all so overpriced it's just not funny.
And what's with that rareness\hotness rating? Seems to me it's a tool to get viewers hyped up and buy the item.

 

Earlier, it seemed mostly that the US-based auctions were getting yanked, but not the European ones.

 

that guys a dick btw i enquired about the xbox 360 kit he had up asking for the secondary error after i told him how. he works out that its harddrive fault and does even thank me for helping him out. i also think he got banned from assembler from just spamming his stuff in this area.

what ever i think all his stuff should be taken down but thats just me

 

Is this your first time on Ebay? ;-) We all know that toilet paper rolls are rare and that "mint condition" is code word for heavily damaged.

 

Are Development Items removed from eBay?

Nah not heavily damaged. More of - We stuck it in and it booted.

I had a listing pulled for an SNES proto literally today, so they still remove some.

Its not a game proto but I had my white iPhone 4 removed from ebay because apple has not authorized their sale. Not too happy with them at the moment

 

Basically policy has moved from "what is illegal/immoral" (they don't allow tobacco, alcohol or salvia sales for example though many online outlets do) to "what is objectionable to the people who originally made the item in question".

Many prototypes, while not illegal to posses, are likely considered stolen property by the developer/publisher even if it they cannot remotely bring a judge to seize the property. A white iPhone does nothing to hurt Apple except for cannibalize potential future sales of white iPhones. Probably under the bullshit guise that they're claiming 3rd part cases are of extremely low quality and thus give Apple a bad reputation.

And Final Fantasy VII Greatest Hits Edition is ULTRA RARE. :banghead:
