I've never played this game and I want to pick up a copy, but I don't like the cover art of the US version at all, and I'm not so interested in picking up PAL games since the cases break so easily.

I believe the game was created by a US based development team, and the game came out months earlier in the US - does the JPN version have an option for English text? I know a few other jpn games like De La JSR did...

Thanks. Guess I'll get the US or PAL version then.

Only reason De La got Multi lang like Sonic is they were remakes after selling 1,000,000 copies and were ported from the US cointerparts, Ecco wasn't such a hit to get this sort of treatment.

Wow JSR/JGR sold 1M copies? That's incredible, not like it's a rare game or anything, but I had no idea it sold anywhere close to that amount.

I figured that since Ecco already had the english text made and it was a US produced game with a 1st party franchise like Sonic, and would probably be promoted accordingly (with the expectation that it would sell), that there was a greater than 0% chance that it might have it. At any rate, since I want to actually play the game, I guess I'll stay away from the JPN version.

For that matter, I think the JPN version was released in 2001, well after it was known that the DC would not be supported for much longer.

There's more. Sonic Adventure 2 and Puyo Puyo Fever have english texts+voice.

Shinebi, I think that you're right, if we take a look to credits.
Also the game was released in Europe first, 2 months earlier than US.

Good sleuthing guys. The wiki for Appaloosa said their headquarters was in California so I went with that. But looking at the credits, I do see a lot of Euro sounding names ;)
