Does modding a gamecube component cable give better video?

By the the title I mean does modding a gamecube component cable to rgb or vga give better video or does it not make a difference?

 

I always prefer VGA over component, looks more natural and sharper to me. I did this mod and it looks fantastic with the Scanliner...

 

To -> ME <- i couldn't really tell the difference, i have used a component to vga adapter with my gamecube and a vga modded cable ( same monitor same gamecube) and it looked pretty much the same.

 

Thanks for clearing that up I guess I don't see a reason to mod.
