Back In Elementary School I Was Crazy About Pokemon All My Allowances, Christmas, and Birthdays would go to buying backs of cards, I remember getting all the original 150. I was so excited, but then as they started making many many more i lost interest and i put my card collecting aside. Then in highschool i put them in a giant bucket to sell at a garage sale (I dont know what I was thinking) Some cards got stolen. Then just these past few months i decided to organize them again. I found my charizard my ride and joy :)! and even bought a few new packs. Im glad I never got rid of them because I have so many fond memories growing up trading with the local kids and battling with them. Does anybody else still have there cards? still collect them? whats your favorite card you own\owned and what is your fondest memory with pokemon? If you have pics please add :)

Only trading card game I ever played/collected was Magic: The Gathering.

But I liked the Pokemon games. My little brother got the blue version for his birthday after I gave my original grey GameBoy to him. What happened? I played the game all the time and my mother bought him a GBC ^^

My other brother found some Pokemon cards lying on the street which he glued to the side of my closet as a joke. I left them there until I had to throw the closet out.

I never understood magic, what was it based off of? the pokemon tv show was what got me hooked.

Haha thats funny ya my first pokemon game was blue version, and then i got yellow version (same damn thing but pikachu it attached to your ass throughout the whole game lol) I beat the blue version on my own but when i got the yellow my neighbor got a gameshark and gave me unlimited rare candies so i just gave my pokemon the steroids but then they dont obey you when they rank up to fast :p

lol you tossed the closet because of all the pokemon on it?

Nah, I got rid of it because after all the moving house we did it was brittle. That's cheap furniture for you :)

Hmm, people who know my collection say I'm among this world's most serious Pokémon collectors. I collect Pokémon software (retail games, demos, protos, promo, basically everything), limited edition hardware, cds, dvds/blurays, books, toys, and countless other Japanese items. Except for software, I don't collect anything Non-Japanese. Nothing can compare to the original quality-wise.
I also don't collect cards, as there are far too many of them out there and I don't like the idea of buying cards without even knowing which ones I get. I do have some, but those are just random. Digital archives of high resolution card artwork would be an instant buy, however.
The stuff I do collect is almost complete in every area, though, so still finding free space in my apartment is always a problem with new stuff coming out. ;-)

When we moved back to california I found all my old cards, though I have less than I remember having. I decided to look for old ones but havent found any. I also own all the games up to emerald, though I never got into anything past crystal.

So Yeah I would still collect, but there's other more important stuff for me to collect.

I remember there was always a ton of drama surrounding Pokémon cards in my neighborhood. Kids would still 'em, cheat in battles, etc.

My favorite card, and fondest memory of collecting them, was I bought a booster pack from a vending machine at Godfather's Pizza. Inside was a Chancey. It was my first holographic and I was PUMPED. haha

I got a small stash of cards from someone tossing them out. Got the usual Japanese assortment along with some French and German language cards which I'd never seen before.

Got a BUTTLOAD of those Ancient Mew cards handed out for one of the Pokemon movies. Damn fine artwork on that.

no way thats awesome you should post a picture of some of the stuf :)! I agree with the cards though as i said i was into the original 150 then it got a bit rediculous. If i had alot of money i would still attempt to get them all one of my buddies dads has every singly us made on to date its crazy

haha dude same in my neighborhood all the kids that would collect where older than me but i had the best cards one time i got home and realized al of my cards where missing one of the kids had stolen alot of my holos. My dad went to every house in out neighbor hood pounding on the doors asking for my cards he found the kid and his parents gave me my cards and his cards  one of the coolest things my dad has done

hell ya i have 5 of those cards only 2 left now, did they make pokemon cards in all languages? i though it was only english and japanese

One of the things my friends and I used to do was play live action Pokémon. There was four of us. Two of us would be trainers and the other two wild Pokémon.

The two Pokémon would run off around the neighborhood and hide in this large field behind a kids house that had a bunch of tall grass and scotch broom. Then the two trainers would ride their bikes around the neighborhood looking for us. When they found us they'd catch us.

After we were caught, we went to my friends backyard and we would battle on his trampoline by just wrestling and jumping around. A kid would even turn his hat backwards like Ash and what not.

Such good times... Some of my favorite times growing up.

Doubt kids these days could get away with even 1/10th of that.

Yup. Parents don't even let kids run around neighborhoods anymore. I was like 10 or 11 at the time and all we had to worry about was being home for dinner.

I used to collect Pokemon cards. Took them to school once, and some get stolen. Never again.

Of course, I tried to collect them all (151) but it was just too hard.

After the Indigo League (151 Pokemon era) was over and they started a new one and made more Pokemon, I just stopped liking it. To me, they just ruined it.

I still have my cards, well, what is left...

In case you can't tell by my avatar, I am not a Pokemon fan. I liked Magic: The Gathering. I was too old when Pokemon came out. I started towards the beginning of Magic so it was fun. Then too many new decks came out and I lost interest. If they could somehow keep some card games as collectibles that would be great.

I collected Pokemon cards back in the day, although only comparatively few were left when I got rid of most of the lot - mainly Energy, some Trainer cards, some common Pokemon. Still have some, tho, like a (Base Set 2?) Nidoking, Ancient Mew, the GB promo Meowth, I think Flying Pikachu, and there should also still be a Japanese Eevee and Entei somewhere. I know those two weren't in said lot, but I have no idea where they actually are...

Nowadays... I started playing the TCG for Game Boy Color again some time ago. Plus, SoulSilver got me back into the main series games, but that's a different story.

I use to collect Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, as well as Magic. I use to have a first edition holographic Charizard, that was my pride and joy.

I sold most of my card stuff off to people over the years, the only thing I have left is my 2-3 turn Exodia deck for Yu-gi-oh!..

I'll get drunk with some old friends of mine and own them with it. I actually won my Exodia set on a bet, because some guy didn't think that I could beat him in a duel >.>
